Saints name another LOI
Following in the footsteps of Ethan Edwards (University of Michigan Wolverines) and Liam Hughes, Zachary Douglas has signed his letter of intent to join the Spruce Grove Saints for the 2019-20 season.
Douglas, a 2002-born defenceman, is currently playing with the CAC MAAA Canadians of the AMHL. In 15 games this season, the Edmonton, AB, native, has three assists to his name. He’s also played in 3 games for the Saints this year but is yet to register a point with them.
If all goes to play, Spruce Grove could have another strong lineup on the blueline with the likes of TJ Lloyd (Bowling Green State University Falcons) and Tanner Hickey both potentially returning. Plus, the addition of both Edwards, who has already proved his worth in the AJHL, and Douglas who, according to the press release, had a strong camp with the Saints this season until he was injured.
